Hazel Lee Swann

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel with Pastor Steve Smith officiating. The inurnment will follow at Guilford Memorial Park.

Ms. Swann was born in Buncombe County, to the late Bascombe and Carrie Grindstaff Swann. She was a graduate of Mars Hill College. She worked as an administrative secretary for state government with the Vocational / Rehabilitation for the Blind for more than forty-four years.

Ms. Swann was a former member of Oakview Baptist Church in High Point and a former member of Epheus Baptist Church when she lived in Cary.. She loved gardening and especially pink roses.

She is survived by her niece, Linda Childress of Concord, and her children, Heather Custer (Paul), Scott Childress (Amanda) and their children, Lawson, Edie, and Olivia and Joel Childress; niece, Myra Kautsky (Andy) of Naples FL and their son, Andrew Kautsky.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association in memory of Hazel Lee Swann.
