Born December 19, 1929 in Sampson County, NC, she was daughter of the late Martin B. and Maggie House Wilson. After high school, Elsie furthered her education at cosmetology school in Raleigh. Elsie was married to Robert Wrenn in 1949, and later became his secretary at Wrenn Advertising. After retirement, she again assisted her husband with Wrenn Driftiques.
Elsie was a devoted member of Lawndale Baptist Church since 1960, where she participated in many ministries and fellowships which included Voices of Experience, Prime Time Council for Seniors and was one of the founders of SOS Ministry.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wrenn was preceded in death by her husband, Robert I. Wrenn; daughter, Kay Wrenn Wagoner, and all of her siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Joy Lynn Campbell (James); grandchildren, Michele Wray Webb (Darren), Jennifer Erin Wray Dalenko (Gerald), Joanne Christy Todd (Johnny), James Wagoner, Jodie Campbell Curley (Miles), James Robert Campbell (Austen), and 9 great-grandchildren.
A private service will be held for the family at Westminster Gardens Cemetery.
