GREENSBOBO: Elizabeth (Betty) Ashton Neibert, 87, of Greensboro died November 9, 2011 at Wesley Long Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, November 13, 2010 at 1:00 PM in St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church and entombment will follow at Westminster Gardens.
Betty was born August 19, 1923 in Rockford, Illinois and in 1945 married her husband Jack. They lived in Illinois, Ohio, New Jersey and came to Greensboro in 1978 which has been their home since that time.
Her activities included being a former member of the Starmount Country Club where she enjoyed golf with the Niners; a member of Ingleside Garden Club and the YBM Wives Group; she had been a volunteer with Mobile Meals, a volunteer at Moses Cone Hospital and her Church. She was a very devoted friend and wife.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years Jack Neibert and 2 sons: Mark Neibert and his wife Jo Carol; and Michael Neibert and his wife Susanne; and 5 granddaughters.
