Edna L. Jarrett

Family will receive friends and loved ones from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM on Monday, July 31, 2023 at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Mausoleum Chapel, 6000 West Gate City Blvd., Greensboro, North Carolina 27407, followed by funeral services at 11:00 AM. (The Sedgefield Mausoleum is located directly behind the funeral home at the back of the property).

Edna will be laid to rest in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery, 6000 West Gate City Blvd., Greensboro, North Carolina 27407, immediately following the funeral services.

Born in Guilford County, NC on April 29, 1933 to the late Raymond and Ruth Farlow, Edna was a birthright Quaker. She was voted "Best All Around" in High School, was an accomplished Artist creating award winning bird carvings and paintings. In years past she was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Edna also taught wood carving at one of the local colleges, was a great interior decorator and an excellent cook. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard J. Jarrett.

Those left to cherish her memory include her niece, Diane Johnson (Rick); nephew, Gary Farlow (Denise); aunt, Jewel Farlow; sister-in-law, Barbara Farlow; numerous cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews and other extended family and friends.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the love and compassion shown to Edna by the Comfort Keepers throughout their years of care. They were truly "Angels" to Edna and the family will be forever grateful.
