A funeral service will be held Friday, 11:00 a.m., at Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church by Rev. Greg Light. Interment will follow at Westminster Gardens.
David was born November 26, 1927 in Charleroi, PA, the son of George and Anna Halchan Kamoda
.
David was a veteran of the US Army and was employed in the motor freight business for many years. He was a lifelong member of Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church where he belonged to the John Bennett Sunday School Class. David was a past master of the Corinthian Masonic Lodge #542.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Aileen Carter Kamoda; daughter, Karen Ann Patton; sisters, Tina Kamoda and Esther Kommdor, and his brother, Roland Kamoda.
Surviving are his sons, David Kamoda, Jr. and wife Roxana of Hillsville, VA and Kendal Kamoda of Greensboro; daughters, Kris Shelton of Greensboro and Kelly Renfro and husband Russell of Holly Springs, NC; sister, Marge Vandiver of Norfolk, VA; 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Friends will be received Thursday, 6:00-8:00 p.m., at Hanes-Lineberry N. Elm Chapel.
