Chester Holt Allison

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at Philadephia Baptist Chapel with Rev. Joe B. Chandler and Rev. Derek Bailey officiating. Interment will follow at Guilford Memorial Park. The visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at Philadelphia Baptist Church from 7:00 – 9:00 pm.

Chester was born in Greensboro, NC to the late Hugh and Frances Webster Allison. He worked as a sheet metal mechanic. He was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Chapel, and he enjoyed Bible Study at Reedy Fork Community Church. He loved being a volunteer at Lake Townsend. Chester loved fishing and hunting.

He was a wonderful husband, great father, loving Paw Paw and a friend to many.

He is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Vonnie Allison; daughter, Kim (Rodney) Tucker, son, Chad (Karen) Allison, all of Greensboro, and son Robbie (Mary) Allison of Kernersville; five granddaughters, Kelsey, Taylor, Nikki, Hunter and Faith; one great grandson, Johnny.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Philadelphia Baptist Chapel, 5515 N. Church Street Greensboro, NC 27455 or to Reedy Fork Community Church, 7351 Beejay Drive Brown Summit, NC 27214 in memory of Chester Holt Allison.
