Carolyn Cornatzer Lasek

Mrs. Carolyn Cornatzer Lasek, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend, left this world on September 5, 2022. She was a life-long resident of Greensboro, attending Lindley Elementary and Junior High, Greensboro Senior High, Guilford College and later G.T.C.C. She was a Master Gardener and a member of the Herbal Thyme Herb Guild. She was a life-long learner and a diligent researcher at heart, and her children were inspired and encouraged by this. She was a homemaker and then worked for Guilford County Schools Administration until retiring in 1994. She had a strong faith and was an active member of Ebenezer Lutheran Church. She always set an example of a loving and giving heart.

She was predeceased by her infant sister, Jeanette, husband Leonard I. Lasek, mother Elizabeth and father Wade C. Cornatzer Sr. Surviving are her brother, Wade Cornatzer, Jr., sister-in-law Dorothy Walden, children, Suzanne Caudle (Joe), Patricia, Diane and Leonard (Debbie), grandchildren, Patrick, Aaron (Brittany), Alex (Virginia), Emily, and one great-grandchild, Ellie Caudle. Carolyn leaves behind countless dear friends, and beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. She will be remembered by those who knew her as a quiet, kind, loving and selfless person. She will be deeply missed. The family would like to immensely thank the generous and kind caregivers and neighbors who made her last years comfortable. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022, 1p.m., at Ebenezer Lutheran Church, 310 S. Tremont Drive. Greensboro, NC, 27403.
