Carol Arrington Spencer, 65, passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2012, at Duke University Medical Center.
Carol was born in Guilford County on May 20, 1946, the daughter of James W. and Myrtle Craven Arrington. She graduated from Southeast Guilford High School. She worked with Southern Life Insurance and Anthum Casuality Company. Carol volunteered with the Girl Scouts and taught Sunday School at Shannon Hills Bible Chapel. She enjoyed crafts, gardening and her flowers. The loving pride of her life was her family. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all.
Carol is survived by her father, James W. Arrington; her loving husband of 46 years, James T.”Tommy” Spencer; children, Christopher T. Spencer of Burlington, NC and Stephanie Spencer of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren, Garrett C. Spencer and Austin C. Spencer.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 2nd, 3:30 p.m. at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel with Pastor Mark Shelly officiating. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.
