Betty Ruth Doss Lamb went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 15, 2019. Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Jerry Loyd Lamb; her father, Luther Blaine Doss and her mother, Lydia Lee Josephine Doss; her brother, Carl Joe “CJ” Doss; and her sister, Shirley Hutton.
Betty is survived by her two children, Angela Lamb Naquin and husband Glenn of Julian, NC and Randal Scott Lamb and wife Jennifer of Greensboro, NC; four grandsons, Scotty Naquin and wife Shelly of Level Cross,NC, Justin Naquin and wife Megan of Jarvisburg, NC, Blaine Lamb and Jacob Lamb of Greensboro, NC; two great grandchildren, Brandon Naquin and Makenzie Naquin of Level Cross,NC; two brothers, Doug Doss and wife Velma of Chilhowie, VA, and Ronnie Doss and wife Jennifer of Chilhowie, VA; two sisters, Joyce Smith of Chilhowie, VA, and Agnes Odham of Bristol, TN; sister-in-law, Jan Bissette and Husband Jim Thomas of Greensboro, NC, sister-in-law, Mary Lane Doss of Chillhowie, VA; brother-in-law, Jeff Lamb and wife Kim of Asheboro NC; and many extended family members, nieces, and nephews from both sides of the family whom she loved very much.
Betty was born in Chilhowie, VA and graduated from Chilhowie High School. She moved to Greensboro after graduation where she lived and worked the rest of her life. She was a member of the former Sedgefield Baptist Church. Betty loved to be surrounded by her family as often as possible and never wanted anyone to leave.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, October 19, 2019 at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel conducted by her grandson, Justin Naquin. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends and family at the funeral home at 1:00pm until service time.
Family and friends will be received at the home of Glenn and Angie Naquin after the service.
