Barbara Tuck Russell

Barbara Tuck Russell passed away on August 4, 2022. She was born in Clarksville, Virginia 92 years ago to Woody and Luby Tuck. Barbara shared a loving home with siblings Juanita, Nell and Marshall. She was married for 50 years to the love of her life, Bill Russell, and they were blessed with two children. Barbara had a large extended family with many cousins and was a devoted aunt. Her lifelong friends were not just friends, they became family and she loved them dearly.

Barbara was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Greensboro, NC and her Shining Light Sunday School Class. Her mission in life was to be caring, kind, show compassion and help others. She never met a stranger and shared joy with all around her.

Barbara is now reunited with her sweet “Honey,” Bill. Surviving are her daughter, Lynne (Hank) Riddick, son, Bob (Lisa) Russell; grandchildren, Lindsey (TJ) Nagel, Bryan (Caroline) Riddick, Bryce Russell, Robert Russell and Matthew Russell and great grandchildren Grayson Riddick, Celia Riddick and Fourth Nagel. She enjoyed nothing more than spending time with them. They were the light of her life.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, August 8, 2022, at Hanes Lineberry North Elm Chapel, 515 North Elm Street, Greensboro, with Dr. Steve Pressley officiating followed by interment at Westminster Gardens Cemetery, 3601 Whitehusrt Road, Greensboro. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank her many caretakers and All Seasons Hospice in Columbia, SC who looked after Barbara during her walk with Alzheimer's disease.
