He retired from Magnavox.
Mr. Wright was a member of East Side Baptist Church.
He was an avid golfer.
Survivors include his wife: Brenda; two children: Greg Wright and wife, Gaye, and Marsha Wright; four step-children: Kim Gates, Keith Cates, Jason Lee, and Jonathan Lee; two grandchildren: Chaynce Wright and wife, Ramona, and Zelika Wright; six great grandchildren: Damien, Callie, Jade, Rayven, Presley, and Bowie; one brother: Bob Wright; 13 step grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife: Jean Wright; parents: Paul and Mabel Whetsel Wright; and brothers: Les, Jack, and John Wright.
The family will receive friends 12-2 p.m. Saturday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel.
Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in the city.
