She was a homemaker and member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Women of the Moose.
Her family states, “For all who knew her, she devoted her life to her children and grandchildren.”
Wanda is survived by her husband: Robert Shelton; one daughter: Karen Shelton; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Robbie and Wendy Shelton, Rusty Shelton, all of Greeneville; two granddaughters: Donna Gail Light and husband, Marcus, and Kendra Brooke Shelton; two grandsons: Shane Shelton and Blake Hughes; two great grandchildren: Marcayla Light and Braeden Light; two sisters: Joyce Ricker and Margaret Fik; special brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Carl and Marie Shelton; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law: Judy Darnell, Peggy and Jack Bryant; several nieces and nephews, including a very special niece, Lisa Price and husband, Tom; special friends: Rev. Wayland Fillers, Goldean Miller, Jewel Stevenson, and Aaron Miller.
She was the daughter of the late Carter and Leona DeVotie and was preceded in death by two sisters: Patsy Norton and Penny Burgner; one brother, Carter DeVotie, Jr.; and a special friend, June Lawing.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.Tuesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home preceding the funeral service at 8:00 p.m. in Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel. Rev. Charles Morgan will officiate.
Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery for the committal service.
Her pallbearers are Tom Price, Gene Ricker, Stephan Shelton, Todd Shelton, Jason Brooks, Blake Hughes, Doug Harris, and Danny Ricker.
Her honorary pallbearers are members of Calvary Baptist Church, staff of Caris Healthcare, Dr. Mandeep Bakshi and staff, and Rev. Paul Garrett.
