Patricia Gayle Dodd Henderlight “Nana”, age 79 of Greeneville, TN passed away peacefully on December 11, 2023. Born on June 10, 1944, Gayle was blessed to have many roles in life as wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, nurse, teacher and friend to many.
Gifted with a heart of service, Gayle began her nursing journey in 1966 graduating from Fort Sanders Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing. For over forty years she cared for others as a Registered Nurse in the fields of home health, hospice, nurse educator and critical care. She was a member of Greeneville Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Never a selfish woman, she believed in an open door/back porch policy complete with peanut butter and jelly to welcome anyone who knocked. An amazing woman who touched the lives of countless people simply by showing love, help and sacrifice beginning with her bright smile and ending with her “Nana” wisdom “It will be alright”. Her strength and inspiration will be cherished always and missed by many.
Most of all, Gayle or “Nana” would want all to remember; please say “Thank You” to the care givers of this world.
