Mary Elizabeth Lyons

She was a member of Pruitt Hill United Methodist Church.

She retired after 32 years of service from Greene Valley Developmental Center and currently serves on the Human Rights Committee at Greene Valley Developmental Center.

She is survived by two brothers: James W. Story of Gallatin, TN and Tony L. Story of Johnson City, TN; one son, Brigham David Lyons (Lisa) of Johnson City, TN; two daughters: Meredith Elizabeth Lyons of Greeneville, TN and Meagan Cierra Lyons of Johnson City, TN; grandchildren, Makiah and Ava Lyons; other relatives: Donald C. Hamilton, Margaret Ruth Hamilton, Joyce Hamilton, Mary Jane Story, Magdeline Story; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; special friends: Bill Lyons, May Brey Gfellers, Teresa Wright, Mary Vining; and a daughter-in-love, Jocelyn Mills.

She was preceded in death by her father, James W. Story, Sr.; mother, Naomi Story-Lyons; brothers, Douglas Edward Story and Don Anthony Story; and grandparents, Carter and Mary Alice Hamilton, John Henry Story and Geneva Story.

The family will receive friends at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 10:00AM -12PM.

The funeral service will be held at 12 noon in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Cecil C. Mills, Jr., officiating.

Interment service will follow in Pruitt Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. William Pace and Rev. Cecil C. Mills, Jr. officiating.

Pallbearers will be Marty Story, Scott Harris, Thomas Alexander Hamilton, Jeff Story, Doug Moore, David Little and Rico Barner.

The family repass will be held at the Greeneville AME Zion Church after the service.
