Lloyd Sherrill Tarlton

Lloyd Sherrill Tarlton, 82, of Greeneville, passed away Monday, April 30, 2018, at Takoma Regional Hospital.

He retired from the U.S. Forestry Service.

Mr. Tarlton was a member of Pine Springs Baptist Church and Beersheba Lodge # 449.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years: Tillie Ruth Tarlton; two daughters and sons-in-law: Linda and Rex Shelton and Judy and Jan McAlpin; a son: Tim Tarlton; three grandchildren: April Shelton, Ashlyn Tarlton and fiancé, Michael Orrey, and Jessica Tarlton; brother and sister-in-law: Clyde and Lois Tarlton;

sister-in-law and brothers-in-law: Hazel Tarlton, Jack Stills, Don Tweed, Keith Tweed, Hugh Tweed, Steve Tweed, Randy Tweed, Pat Tuntland, Carolyn Boush, and Debbie Sams; and several nieces and nephews.

He was the son of the late Spencer and Carrie Tarlton and was preceded in death by brothers: Roy and Julius Tweed, Joe, Wayland, Johnny, Ed, Denver, Berry, Daniel and David Tarlton; a sister, Juanita Tarlton; and a brother-in-law, David Tweed.

The family will receive friends 3-6 pm Friday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

Following visitation, the funeral service will be held at 6 pm Friday in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Tracey Jones will officiate.

Interment will be 10 am Saturday in Pine Springs Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
