Katheryn Colena Shelton Malone

She was an employee at RCA in Marion, Indiana for many years. She retired from Philips (Magnavox) after 30 years of service.

Mrs. Malone was a member of Central Baptist Church.

Everyone that knew her, loved her. She was always full of laughter. Love to do for others when she could. She was a great cook. You come to her house, you didn’t leave without eating. She loved working in her flower garden every summer. She always had beautiful flowers. She was the heart of our family. We will miss her dearly.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years: Clarence “Buddy” Malone; daughter and son-in-law: Kathy and Gene Witt of Midway; daughter-in-law: Charlene Malone; grandchildren: Charity Ramsey and husband Michael, Matthew Malone and wife Angie, Amanda Fox and husband Derek, Elliott Malone and Ethan Malone; great grandchildren: Courtney Turner, Rochelle Malone, Aiden Thompson, Addyson Thompson; special nieces: Jean Miller, Phyllis Gross; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins whom she loved; brother and sister-in-law: Robert Lee and Mildred Shelton and Ross Shelton of Greeneville, and Ralph Shelton and wife Tina of Rockford, Illinois; sister: Marie Gray of Castalia, Ohio; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Kenneth and Lois Miller of Chuckey, Doyle and Joan Malone of Higgamun, Connecticut.

She was preceded in death by a son: Rickey Carroll Malone; her parents: Alonzo and Bessie Shelton; a sister: Olive Kimery; brothers: Worley Shelton, York Shelton, Jay Shelton; niece: Linda Emmett; mother-in-law and father-in-law: Clarence and Charlsie Malone: and sister-in-law and husband: Juanita and Cecil Ramsey.

The family extended a special thank you to the staff of Laughlin Memorial Hospital doctors: Leah Helen Rodger, William Joseph Scott, Jack Harry Whitaker, and the nurses of the ICU Ward and Dr. Steven Prince.

The family will receive friends from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm Saturday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2pm Sunday, November 2, 2014, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jerry Holt and Rev. Roger Ealey officiating.

Interment will follow in Mosheim Central Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Gene Witt, Ethan Malone, Micheal Ramsey, Matthew Malone, Dwight Cogdill, and John Cansler.
