Katherine McCreary

She was a retired loan officer and was a member of Greeneville church of Christ. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great- grandmother, and was cherished by her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Norce and Lena (Lewis) Holbrook; her husband, Max McCreary; a daughter, Kaye Montieth; a brother, Headley Holbrook; sister-in-law, Lillian Holbrook; brother-in-law, Elmer Bowman and great nephew, Luke Venable.

She is survived by a daughter, Donna (Cecil) Ellenburg of Greeneville; grandchildren: Kyle (Kelly) Montieth of Stephenville, TX; Shelley (Chris) Hayes of Philadelphia, TN; Lori Montieth of Fort Worth, TX; Sarah Mitchell of Greeneville, TN; great-grandchildren: Caisson (Montana) Montieth, Carlee (Mason) Guidry; and Ella Montieth of Texas; Bayli, Lilli and Maddi Hayes and Zach and Josh Mitchell of Tennessee; four great- great grandchildren; sister, Mary Lou Bowman of Putney, KY; sister-in-law, Tina Holbrook of Baxter, KY; nephew, Tim (Sheila) Bowman of Putney, KY; niece, Pam Bowman of Spring Hill, TN; and several great nieces and great-great-nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 12:00-2:00 pm Thursday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm in the chapel. Minister Ralph Clevinger will officiate.

Interment will then be conducted at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Kyle Montieth, Chris Hayes, Zach Mitchell, Josh Mitchell, David Weems.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitiude to the caregivers, nurses, and staff of Brookdale Senior Living and the nurses, CNA's, and staff of Caris Hospice for their loving care of Katherine.
