James Thomas Honaker (William F. Kemp Jr.), 81, of Georgiana, Alabama, passed and left this earth on Friday, May 17, 2019. He was born on March 3, 1938 in Bristol, Virginia, and returned to our Heavenly Father on Friday, May 17, 2019.
He is survived by two sisters: Thelma Isabell Davis of Bristol, Tennessee, and Myra Jean Cochran and husband, Gary, of Vinton, Virginia; sons: James David Honaker and Cameron Honaker of New Mexico, Buddy Ledet of Greensboro, North Carolina, Brian Berryhill, Stepson and wife, Brooke, of Midland Texas; daughters: Tonia Roughtree of Greensboro, North Carolina and Sonja C. Lawrence of Georgiana, Alabama; grandchildren: KayLynn C. Waller, David ThomasLeon Ealum, Denielle and Brandt Berryhill of Midland, Texas; nephews and nieces; Warren Fleenor of Bristol, Virginia, William W. Kemp and wife, Kheira, Bristol, Tennessee, Sherry Grabert and husband, Tony, of Houma, Louisiana, Angela Mullins of Bluff City, Tennessee, Gary K. Cochran of Vinton, Virginia, Adam F. Cochran of Vinton, Virginia, Frederick Kemp of Jonesborough, Tennessee, and Tammy Fields of Elizabethton, Tennessee; great nephews and nieces: Dustin Mullins of Mountain City, Tennessee, William Kemp, II of Houma, Louisiana, Wendy Darcey of Houma, Louisiana, Logan Cochran of Hardy, Virginia, Michael Dunaway and Dillon Dunaway of Hot Springs, Virginia, Morgan Cochran of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Frederick Kemp of Jonesborough, Tennessee, Garrett Goodyear, California, Dondi Goodyear of Johnson City, Tennessee, and Myra Goodyear of Elizabethton, Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Honaker of Greeneville, Tennessee; father, William F. Kemp, Sr.; mother, Thelma V. Kemp; sister, Helen Anna Beacher; and brothers: Arimon F. Kemp and Yunnie F. Kemp.
The family will receive friends from 3-5pm Friday, May 24, at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held following the visitation at 5:00pm in the Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jim Fillers officiating.
Interment will be Saturday at 2:00pm in the Horse Creek Church of God Cemetery.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1:00pm Saturday to process to the graveside service.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
