Gloria Gay Shelton

She was the wife of 61 years to late Pastor Buster Shelton where they pastored and founded Lord’s Tabernacle Church. She faithfully served as secretary of the church for all those years.

She did restaurant work and also worked at Meco.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Gary Shepherd of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law: Mark and Janie Shelton of Mosheim and Darrell and Joyce Stills of Greeneville; two grandsons: Mitch Shelton of Mosheim, and Darrell and Mindy Stills of Greeneville; five great grandchildren: Kayley Stills and baby to be born in December, Sierra Stills, MyKenzy Stills, Jacob Shelton, and Molly Shelton; foster daughter: Linda Berry and family; two sisters-in-law: Barbara Stills and Alyne Stills; three special nieces: Fayetta Willett, Irene Hensley, Pam Hoke; and several other nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Raymond and Helen Shelton, Ora John Boy Shelton, Jerry Shelton, Warner and Verna Shelton, Lois Ann Graybeal, Glenda and David Huff; special friends of the family Lou Barnes and Debbie Inscoe.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Carl and Dora Stills and her siblings: Clarence Stills, Raymond Stills, Mack Stills, Wanda Rader, Irene Stills, Linton Stills, Hoover Stills, and Gene Stills.

The family will receive friends 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with interment at River Hill Cemetery. Evangelist Brian Burchfield, Rev. Harley Greene, Rev. Tim Shanks, and Chaplain Gregg Graybeal will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Darrell Lynn Stills, Marcus Carter, Gary Helbert, Ricky Ball, Doug Justice, Randy Carter, and Dwayne Wyatt.

Honorary pallbearers are Sammy Fox, Dr. Tyler Bailey, Dr. Joe Austin, Jimmy Ricker, Kyle Harris, and all of Lord’s Tabernacle.
