She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Ward was a member of First Baptist Church.
She loved to garden and grow flowers.
Survivors include her husband: Robert Ward; daughter and son-in-law: Linda and Don Kirk; son and daughter-in-law: Duane R. and Sherry Ward; sister: Rosa Lea Clark of Weaverville, North Carolina; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was the daughter of the late Henry H. and Carrie Lee Norton and was preceded in death by seven brothers and six sisters.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 30, in Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel with Rev. David Green and Rev. Joey Tillery officiating.
Interment will follow in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be her special friends.
