She was retired from Southern Electronics after 25 years of service.
She was a member of Midway United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Seay is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: Ronnie and Glenda Seay; three granddaughters and grandsons-in-law: Rhonda and Dwayne Casteel, Tanya and Chris Roberts, and Lori and Clint Cutshall, all of Greeneville; grandson and granddaughter-in-law: Jamie and Kimberly Lambert of Morristown; eleven great grandchildren: Brandon, Bryson, and Breanna Casteel, and Makayla Roberts of Greeneville, Emily, Kaitlin, Chelsey, and Chase Lambert of Morristown, and Blake, Noah, and Kara Cutshall of Greeneville; three sisters and brothers-in-law: Betty and John Rader, Janie and Gene Solomon of Mosheim, and Eva and Joe Wall of Georgia; sister-in-law: Ethel Whittenburg of Midway; brother: Samuel “Grandy” Gray of Greeneville; brother: Doug Whittenburg; step mother: Virgie Gray of Greeneville; several nieces and nephews; and special friends: Billie Coakley, Bill and Judy Morrison, and Rev. Jerry and Edna Holt, Coy and Faye Hinkle, Chuck and Doris Stott, Bill and Linda Brown, and her many close friends at Midway Church.
She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather: Alice and Harry Gray; her father: Aubry Whittenburg; her husband of 61 years: Avery Andrew Seay; a son: Johnny Andrew Seay; a brother: Kyle Whittenburg; and a sister: Janet Whittenburg.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday preceding the funeral service at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, in Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel with Rev. Jerry Holt and Rev. Dwayne Casteel officiating.
Interment will follow at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Pine Grove Cemetery. It is requested that family and friends that would like to join the family to go in procession for the committal service meet at 9:15 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Her pallbearers are Coy Hinkle, Chuck Stott, Bill Morrison, Bill Brown, Steve Swecker, Hal Solomon, John Broyles, and Allen Ray Huff.
Randy Holt, Steve Knight, Anthony Solomon, Mark Gray, the men of Midway United Methodist Church, and Dr. Joe Austin will serve as honorary pallbearers.
