Emma Jane Bowers

She was a seamstress for over 50 years.

Mrs. Bowers was a member of St. James Lutheran Church.

Jane was a woman of God and was loved by an abundance of friends, coworkers and all that knew her. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years: Milburn “Pete” Bowers; a son: Billy Bowers and his wife, Dawn, of Knoxville;

grandchildren: Sarah Bowers and Seth Bowers; two sisters: Mary Ann Dearstone and her husband, Ted, and Linda Fullen and her husband, Gary, all of Greeneville; a brother: Carroll Allen and his wife, Sally, of Morristown; sister-in-law: Mildred Allen of Greeneville; a special niece: Andrea Fullen Bender and her husband, Mark, of Seymour; a special nephew: Steven Fullen and his wife, Kim, of Augusta, Georgia; special cousins: L.C. and Mildred Bowers; several other nieces, nephews and cousins; and her cat: Nice Cat.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Nellie Allen, and a brother, Neil Allen.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm Thursday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 8 pm Thursday, September 12, 2013, in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel. Rev. Larry Moore, Rev. Willis Bowers, and Rev. David Woody will officiate.

Interment will be at 10 am Friday at St. James Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Lamar Neas, Lanny Neas, Kim Neas, L.C. Bowers, Kendall Bowers, Steven Fullen, Leslie Allen and Brian Allen.

All guests will serve as honorary pallbearers.
