He formally worked at Norfork Southern Railroad. He was an avid Civil War Reenactor, was a black belt in multiple styles including Tang-Soo-Do in Greeneville.
Duane is survived by his wife, Sherry Ward of the home; many, many friends and special family member and cousin, Jack Rice.
He was the son of the late Faye Norton Ward and William Robert Ward.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 12 – 2 pm at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2 pm in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Joey Tillery officiating.
Interment will follow in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers are Preston, Cameron, Elijah, Caz Starcher, Jack Rice and Ian Turnage.
Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
