Darrell Wayne Key

He was employed by Project Access Healthcare as a care coordinator. He attended Ottway Elementary School in the late 1960’s and 70’s and graduated from North Greene High School in 1979, 23rd out of 79 in his class. He was also voted best looking in his class. He graduated from Tusculum College in 1983. He also graduated from ETSU with a Master’s Degree in Public Health. His lifelong career was taking care of the elderly and family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Luther “Dob” Key; his mother, Mabel Collins Key; and a sister, Debbie Shepard.

He is survived by a brother, Larry (Pat) Key; three sister: Teresa Key of the home, Mitzi Gass, and Amy (John) Sexton; several nieces and nephews: Shasta Crum, Chad Collins, Victoria Franklin, Adam Gass, Phoebe Shilling, Michelle Payne, Angie Key, Eddie Key and Lee Key; several great nieces and nephews; and several special cousins and friends.

There will be a celebration of life Saturday, January 13th, 2024 from 2:00-4:00 pm at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Democratic party.
