Carson J. Landers

He was a concrete finisher and construction worker.

He was a member of the Tennessee Bear Hunter’s Association and an avid hunter and fisherman.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law: Norma and Mark Hawkins; son and fiancée: Jerry Landers and Rhonda Johnson; grandson and caregiver: Dakota Nelson; future step-granddaughter: Skylar Johnson; sister and brother-in-law: Darlene and L.C. Johnson; brothers: William Gunter and Gary Cutshaw; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Avil Landers; mother: Betty Gunter; step-father: Clark Gunter; father: Harmon Cutshaw; sisters: Rita Cutshaw and Mary Ann Gunter; and brothers: Roger Haire and Jay Lynn Gunter.

The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Lowell Bowens, Rev. Rocky Dunbar, and Rev. Tom Franklin officiating.

Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in Union Chapel Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. Saturday to go in procession to the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Norma Hawkins, Mark Hawkins, Dakota Nelson, Galvin Haire, Sonny Johnson, and Ray Shelton.

Honorary pallbearers are his special friends and bear hunters.
