She retired from the Department of Children's Services.
She is survived by two daughters: Tara Gregg and Krista Dodds, both formerly of Greeneville; daughter-in-law, Beks Britton; honorary son, Zane York; two sisters: Rhonda Kelley of Hillsboro, MO and Patricia Whitener; one brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Ginger Whitener of Hillsboro, MO; a granddaughter, Wrenly Gregg; one nephew, Shawn Kelley of Hillsboro, MO; and two nieces: Krystal Kelley and Kari Whitener, both of Hillsboro, MO.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald and Bonnie Whitener.
There will not be a funeral service. She requested a private graveside service.
At her request, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Shriners Children’s Processing Center, P.O. Box 947765, Atlanta, GA 30394 and/or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
