Richard was born April 22, 1959 to Wilber Douglas and Richa Lou (Cox) Ford in Greencastle, IN.
Richard was preceded in death by his mother Richa Lou (Ray) Ford; father Wilber Douglas (Jeanie); sister Angie Daniels; brother Eddie Gross; granddaughter Maggie Smith; son-in-law Travis Smith; several aunts and uncles; and mother-in-law Brenda Haberle.
Richard is survived by his wife Laurie Douglas (Haberle); children Holly Smith (Josh Sims), Chris Douglas, Nelly Howard (Tyler), Andrew Cyr (Gina); grandchildren Aaron Smith (Brianna), Tyler Smith (Haley), Devin Smith, Mckenna Crane, Easton Crane, Raelynn Howard, Addley Howard, Adrianne Cyr, Keira Cyr, future grandson Cade Howard; siblings Alan Douglas (Becky), Cheryl Gross, and Kevin Daniels; aunt Ardella Evens; uncle Joe Crooks; father-in-law Robert Haberle (Sue); several cousins; and several nieces and nephews.
