Rebecca E Sprinkle

Rebecca E. Sprinkle, 85, of Greencastle, passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2018. She was born June 16, 1932 in Perry County, IN, the daughter of Alvin and Dora R. (Koch) Garland and was a graduate of Birdseye High School, Birdseye, IN. Becky retired from PR Mallory’s where she had been a line supervisor and later retired from Walmart, where she had worked as an associate for several years. She was a member of Rebekah Lodge and of the Fillmore Christian Church for several years. She is survived by her children, Linda Kay Vermillion, Elizabeth R. Petrarca, and James A. (Patty) Sprinkle; a brother, Carl Garland; grandchildren, Patricia Hanks, Jody McCullough, Tina Huff, Judy McCullough, Anthony (Kristine) Petrarca, James (Lindsey) Sprinkle Jr., and Erin Sprinkle; and 22 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion A. Sprinkle; a son, Wayne K. Sprinkle; parents; and siblings, Annabelle, Copper, Berdean, James, Jewel, and Frank. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Fillmore Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, March 28th at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Becky’s memory to the American Cancer Society.
