John Drury Finch Jr.

John was born May 27, 1942 to John Drury Finch Sr. and Alice Finch in Indianapolis, IN.

John was a graduate of Arsenal Technical High School in 1958. John went on to become a veteran of the US Marine Corp. He was a member of the UAW 933 for 30 plus years. John was an inspector for GM for 30 years, then spent 15 years working for Walmart. He enjoyed spending time with his family doing the things that he loved including Fishing, watching his favorite television shows and NASCAR, watching the colts, and playing pool. John was also a man who enjoyed designing and building additions to his home.

John is preceded in death by his parents; cousins Bill Helms and Joyce Helms.

John is survived by his wife of 29 years Pamela Finch; seven children, Kathy Herr (Kevin), John D Finch III, Michelle Finch, Crystal Cassetty, Larry James Sayers, Stephen Lee Sayers, and Michael Allen Sayers; grandchildren Andy Socks, Ericka Hacker, Tiffany Mirizzi, Payge Finch Herr, Taylor Zupan, Jordan Sayers, John D Finch IV, Kaitlyn Zupan, Hannah Zupan, Jaycob Herr, Christopher Cassetty, and Britney Cash; 19 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be 6 pm on December 19, 2024 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. The family will receive friends and loved ones from 4:00 pm until time of services at the funeral home.
