Charles Glenn Steele

Charles Glenn Steele, 93, of Greencastle, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024. Born March 25, 1930 in Huntington, IN the son of Earl Steele and Eva (Farthing) Steele Skinner. Charles worked and retired from Allison Transmission in Indianapolis and also farmed for several years. He was a member of the New Life Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; wives Kay (Ferrand) Steele and Helen (Long) Steele; step brother Harold Stoltz; granddaughter April Steele: great grandchild Brandon Wiseman; and brothers-in-law Kenneth and Keith Ferrand. Charles is survived by his children Charles G. (Debbie) Steele Jr., Susan (John) Garl and Shirley (Jason) McCullough; brothers Billy Steele and Dale (Betty Jo) Steele; sister Janett Massey; brothers-law Carl (Anita) Ferrand and David (Jan) Ferrand; sister-in-law Shirley Record 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren and 1 great great great grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 8, 2024 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Brick Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until time of service at the funeral home on Monday.
