Lamentations 3:22-23 “Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”

Naomi Grace was born on October 29, 2010, in San Jose, Costa Rica. Her first year of life created a love of adventure in her as it was spent in jungles, on beaches and climbing mountains. Many people have a special love for our little “Tica.” She spent one year in Houston, Texas, prior to moving to Fort Collins, Colorado.

Naomi felt every occasion should be a fancy one. Her princess outfits had to be sturdy so she could enjoy the outdoors and get out some of her boundless energy. A standard day’s attire would have to endure playing in the yard, dance parties to praise music and One Direction (a mutual love with her big sister), and plenty of artwork. To her, gold shoes were the simple choice that went with everything. Naomi was a dedicated artist who had to practice her craft of painting every day. She requested many books to be read to her and hours of bubbles to be blown so she could chase them. She could sing Frozen songs at the top of her lungs at a moment’s notice.

Her days were full of fun at the Early Childhood Center at Colorado State University. Her friends and teachers would describe her as a special girl full of life and spirit. Naomi hated to leave her family in the mornings, but they could barely get her to leave school at the end of the day. She was never afraid to try new things and do it her own way. It is our hope that she will be remembered and talked about as a shining light—an example to others to enjoy life and share God’s love.

Naomi was treasured by her family members in Texas, Mexico and Colorado. She loved spending holidays and vacations with her extended family. Though she was little, her vivacious personality was undeniably big. Wherever she was, Naomi brought fun and laughter.

Naomi Grace was welcomed into Jesus’s arms on January 21, 2015. She is survived by her parents, Aminadab and Amy Delgado, and her big sister, Miriam. She was greeted in Heaven by her great-grandfather Buell Belcher, her great-grandmothers Rosita Zaragoza and Dalila Olivarez, her grandfather Kevin Haley, and her cousin Madeline Hubbard. Though some might see her life as short, those who knew and loved her see that the quality of her existence is not bound by time. We look forward with hope to seeing her again in Heaven. Naomi will be laid to rest in Abilene, Texas.
