Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt went to her Heavenly home on March 12, 2023. She left a trail of broken hearts that were not ready to say goodbye. She passed away peacefully with her loving husband, daughters, and family by her side. Nancy was born May 24, 1948, in Farmington, New Mexico to Belarmino and Lillie Valdez (Waldron). She was raised in Salt Lake City, Utah attending private schools, and finishing high school at South High. She went to Utah Technical College, and Bible Training Institute. In her mom’s footsteps she too, earned her Nursing Home Administrator’s License in Utah. She was the Administrator of the American Fork Developmental Care Facility for Disabled Adults. She retired from State Farm Insurance in 2010. Her most important role was serving in the ministry beside her husband, Rev Jerry Martinez for the Church of God of Prophecy leading souls to Christ.
Nancy was a skilled baker and published her own cookbook which featured her famous Cream Puffs and Poppy Seed Bread. She invited loved ones to share their favorite recipes in her book. She was a classy lady and immaculate homemaker.
Survivors: Her husband, Jerry, and daughters: Jerilyn Long (Kent), Marlo Archuleta (Margarito), Granddaughters; Celeste Arias, Nicole Archuleta (Alonso), Sierra Gomez (Sebastian) and Brandi Long, Great-granddaughter, Camila Rae Archuleta, and Joseph Ruiz who loved Nana. Siblings: Ida Carrillo (John), Ann Mondragon, Marlene Sagendorf (Ryan) and Ric Waldron (Devon).
She was preceded in death by her son, Baby Jerry Marc Martinez, her parents, and brother-in-law Carlos.
A Viewing will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2023, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Allnutt Funeral Service, Macy Chapel.
Funeral will be Friday, March 24, 2023, at 11:00 a.m.at Greeley First Assembly
Final Resting Place will be at: Sunset Memorial Gardens
