Margarita Martinez Guzman

Margarita Martinez Guzman, 90 of Greeley, died April 1, 2015 at Hospice of Northern Colorado. She was born April 8, 1924 in Monclova, Coahuila, to Pablo Martinez and Guadalupe Gonzalez de Martinez. On March 20, 1948 Margarita married Jose Guzman in Uvalde, TX. In 1971 they moved to Greeley and remained here.

Mrs. Guzman enjoyed gardening and sewing. She cherished reading The Bible and attending church. She was devoted to her family.

She is survived by her children, Jesus (Mary) Guzman, Evans, CO, Frank Guzman, Greeley, CO, Lala Perez, Seminole, TX, Juan Rosales, Littlefield, TX, Joe Guzman, Jr., Littleton, CO, Alma (Louis) Lopez, Abernathy, TX, Gloria Ramos, Greeley, CO, Mary (Juan) Gonzalez, Greeley, CO, Julian (Vickie) Guzman, Greeley, CO, Tony (Fonda) Guzman, Slaton, TX, and Jimmy (Barbara) Lopez, Evans, CO; 41 grandchildren, 94 great-grandchildren, and 37 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jose Guzman in 1988.

Visitation will be held from 4-6:00 P.M. Monday, April 6, 2015 at the Allnutt Macy Chapel. Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Journey Christian Church. Interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
