Kenneth Charles Elder, age 85, of Greeley, Colorado passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024.
He was born in Denver on March 2, 1939 to Homer and Irene (Gross) Elder. Ken was raised in Keenesburg, graduating from Keenesburg High School in 1956. He served in the army from 1962-1964, spending a year in Germany. He eventually attended CSC (now UNC) on the GI Bill, graduating in 1976.
Ken met his wife Sandy (Schank) while working at Gordon's Grocery in Greeley 1961. They were married in 1965, 59 years this August. In his later years, he worked as manager of GreCo Oil Company until retirement in 2001.
Ken is preceded in death by his parents; brother, George Elder; and sister, Betty Spindler.
He is survived by 3 sons, Mike, Brian and Jimmy and one grandchild, Jacob Elder.
