Emmett Eugene “Potsy” Fuller, 71, of Johnstown, died Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Pathways Hospice Care Center in Loveland. He was born on January 19, 1944 in Ellis, Kansas to Emmett James and Viola Bell (Ream) Fuller.
Emmett was raised and educated in Ellis, graduating from Ellis High School in 1962. He then entered the US Navy. After his discharge, he started working for the Union Pacific Railroad. He retired as a conductor after 38 years. After his retirement, he lived in Johnstown.
On October 23, 1993, he married Margaret Crandall at his home in Johnstown. He was a member of Resurrection Fellowship in Loveland.
Emmett enjoyed attending the Union Pacific Retired Railroaders group and their functions. He loved to work with his hands and enjoyed refinishing furniture, collecting guns and especially collecting model trains.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret of Johnstown; two daughters, Terri Fuller (Cheri) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Brenda Crandall of Eaton; five sons, Ty Fuller of Lawrence, Kansas, David Fuller (Kelly) of Grand Island, Nebraska, Troy Fuller (Vicki) of Speedwell, Tennessee, Tim Fuller of Greeley and Robert Crandall (Lawren) of Rapid City, South Dakota; sister, Dixie Bieker of Ellis, Kansas; brother-in-law, Chad Chadick (Clare) of Pueblo, Colorado; former wife, Billie Fuller of Salina, Kansas; 17 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Emmett was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Mary Ellis, Marjorie Bieker and Janie Legleiter and a brother, James Fuller.
Memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Resurrection Fellowship, Loveland.
