Elizabeth Pappas

Betsy was raised in Ft. Lupton by her parents Neil and Ruth Davis. She graduated from Ft. Lupton High School and attended Colorado School of Agriculture (now Colorado State University). She married Michael Pappas. They lived in Greeley, Colorado, Hobbs, New Mexico, and Wheat Ridge, Colorado before settling in Arvada, Colorado to raise their four children.

Betsy worked for Jefferson County Public Schools for many years as a librarian at Secrest Elementary School. After retirement, she and Michael traveled and spent time with their grandchildren. Her children and grandchildren will miss her enthusiastic and unflagging support of their academic, professional, and athletic endeavors.

Betsy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Michael Pappas, and her daughter Anita Pappas Adamson. She is survived by her sons Michael (Linda) and Greg (Sharon) and her daughter Marianne (Steve Berge). Also surviving are ten grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, her sister Marjorie Gates of Greeley and sister in law Marie DeGesualdo of Frederick.

A celebration of Betsy’s life will be held Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 11:00 at Allnutt Funeral Service, 2100 N. Lincoln Avenue, Loveland, Colorado.
