I had the pleasure of being Dantez's neighbor in Kersey when his grandma and sisters moved to the area next to my house at the time. My daughter and the kids were fast friends. Since the last time we saw the whole family things have happened so much in the past few years for both of us. I am writing to say that Dantez was a bright and funny kid and I enjoyed getting to know him. I am saddened to hear of his passing. Prayers to the family during this time. God Bless.

Such a sweet young boy.   He was precious in children’s church.   He was always excited to learn and to help others.     

I had the pleasure of being Dantez’s music teacher and choir instructor. He was a wonderful light in our class and extra curricular group, with a beautiful voice. He was extremely caring and empathetic, always willing to help others out like myself, my co-director Savannah Shultz, another peers and kindergarten friends. At our last concert, he was given an MC solo. He mentioned in the days leading up to the event how nervous he was, but he nailed it and our audience clapped for his amazing performance. Dantez has taught me a lot about bravery, and that bravery is not the absence of fear but doing things even when they are scary. His memory will help me to remember this in my life going forward, to always be brave and kind like Dantez. He was a wonderful person and student and I will miss him so very much. My deepest condolences to the family as they navigate this tragedy. He was so loved!
