Colleen Faye VanBriggle

She was the beloved daughter of William and Thelma Witt.

Colleen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Orlan VanBriggle, and their six children: Deborah Mow, Raymond VanBriggle, Ronald VanBriggle, Jonathan Ford, Trish Dardano, and Natasha Miller. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, whose lives she touched deeply with her love and wisdom.

Colleen dedicated much of her life to serving others. She worked in the school district for 20 years, contributed her skills as a bookkeeper in her son’s automotive shop, and brought smiles to many during her 15 years at Walmart. Beyond her professional contributions, Colleen had a remarkable talent for crafting and creativity. She used her hands to create beautiful works, from shirts to quilts, ceramics, and intricately crafted leather wallets. Her cakes, lovingly baked and decorated, were a testament to her passion for bringing joy to others.

Her generosity and compassion extended far beyond her family. Colleen had a heart for helping those in need, fostering 30 children over a span of 10 years. She volunteered tirelessly for her church as a bookkeeper and was committed to giving back to her community. Her thoughtful donations of hats and blankets for premature babies at Northern Colorado Medical Center brought comfort to many families.

Colleen’s legacy of kindness, creativity, and service will forever be cherished by all who knew her. She leaves behind a life rich with love, laughter, and countless memories.

A celebration of Colleen’s life will be held at Stoddard Funeral Home on 12/23, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and the indelible impact she made on the world.

Colleen’s light will continue to shine in the hearts of her loved ones and all those she touched during her remarkable journey.
