Bret was born April 1, 1959 to Robert and Barbara Hoff in Ft. Collins, CO. The young couple was living in Eaton, CO and Bob was working for a veterinary group there.
Bret lived and went to school in Kersey, CO throughout his childhood. He was confirmed at Saint Paul’s Congregational Church in East Greeley. He was involved in many sports at Platte Valley High School and also was active in 4-H and FFA and hunting growing up.
Bret had a custom hay business for a number of years, then went on to attend college at Aims Community College and received his Associates Degree in Aviation. He then went on to attend University of Colorado for a while. He had his private pilot’s license and enjoyed flying whenever he was able.
After many health issues, he moved to an apartment at Centennial Village in Evans, CO, where he was well liked and loved all his friends there. He was a long time member of the Kersey Community Church, enjoying the fellowship with many people there and was always at any potluck!
He is survived by his Mother, Barbara Hoff, his sister, Brenda Hoff and his brother John Hoff, all of Greeley, CO. He is preceded in death by his father, Dr. Robert L. Hoff, DVM.
