Bobby Frank Mata was born on October 5th, 1956 to John Frank and Carmen Ramona (Lujan) Mata. He was the oldest of three children. He attended local Greeley schools. He was raised in a big, loving family on the Lujan farm in Evans, CO. As a young boy, he loved to take long walks with his grandfather to buy cokes and candy at the corner store. He was a very smart and quick-witted child. As he grew, he developed a love for fast cars, beautiful women, and anything flashy! He loved “turning wrenches” with his many friends in the Greeley, Denver, and Wyoming areas. Bobby always was a phone call away and if needed he went running to help. He was an extremely gifted mechanic and wowed others with his knowledge of anything motorized.
Late in life, Bobby met his true love, Janea. Together they shared a bond like no other. Both were very competitive and when working on something together they created a dynamic duo! Through the years Bobby managed to bring out an inner strength and overall peace in her while she managed to show him a deeper love for life and others.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Janea, his mom, beloved brother Billy Mata, sister Leona (Larry) Mese, oldest son Bobby Lee Mata, daughter Annette Hernandez, their mother Frances Nira, youngest son Patrick McMullen and family, many aunts, uncles, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, grandfather and many other relatives.
