Andrew was a 1968 graduate of Iliff High School was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1969. He proudly served in Vietnam during his time of enlistment. He married Kathy Kippes on April 15, 1972 at the St. Anthony Church in Sterling, Colorado. The couple moved to La Salle, Colorado and had 3 sons, Scott, Gary and David. He worked as a technician for the Motorola Company for several years and ultimately Andrew and his brother, Rick, purchased their own company, Wireless Advanced Communications on June 5, 1995. He retired in March of 2020.
Andrew was a dedicated and hardworking husband and father, he enjoyed woodworking as a hobby. He was an outdoorsman, he spent his leisure time hunting and fishing. He loved his family and the Lord. Andrew was honest and loved life.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy, sons, Scott Bellendir, Gary (Jill) Bellendir, and David Bellendir, his grandchildren, Brayden, Kaleb and Kylee, brothers, Kenny, Dan, Rick, Jerry and Tom Bellendir and sister, Sherri (Dan) Szabo, along with his extended siblings, Don, Ed, Jim, Leonard and Vicki Kippes, and many nieces and nephews.
Andrew is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Jim Bellendir, and in-laws, Alex and Florence Kippes, Willa Mae, Edna and Patty Kippes.
A visitation for Andrew will be held Thursday, October 10, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Allnutt Funeral Service - Macy Chapel, 6521 W. 20th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80634. A recitation of the rosary will occur Thursday, October 10, 2024 at 7:00 PM, 6521 W. 20th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80634. A funeral mass will occur Friday, October 11, 2024 at 9:30 AM at St. Peters Catholic Church, 915 12th St., Greeley, CO 80631. An interment will occur Friday, October 11, 2024 at Linn Grove Cemetery, 1700 Cedar Avenue, Greeley, CO 80631.
