Alice “Coleen” Hart was born on February 22, 1936, daughter to Robert Orie and Thelma Jo (Edwards) Brown of Grover, CO. Coleen lived most of her life on the eastern plains before moving to Greeley, CO. Coleen went to be with the Lord November 30, 2023 peacefully at the age of 87, surrounded by her family.
Coleen married her sweetheart Paul J. Hart on November 21, 1952, they were married for 55 years. From this marriage came two very loved children Jennie Lee Meads and Danny Paul Hart.
Coleen loved to spend time with family and friends. She was an amazing cook,well known for her pies. She spent countless hours volunteering for many organizations and her church. She had many collections and was part of the Second Childhood Doll Club and Briggsdale Quilting Club. She loved auctions, fishing, and hunting. She attended school in Grover, CO.
She is survived by son Danny Hart, daughter-in-law Joann Hart, sister Elanie Werner, brothers Roger (Pat) Brown, and Will Arlon Brown, 6 grandchildren and their spouses, 14 great grandchildren and spouses, and 2 great great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, cousins, neighbors, and friends.
Coleen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter. Also by her brother Donald Brown, two sisters Shirley Nash and Phyllis Alexander, and many other loving relatives.
Services will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at Christian Church in Windsor, 530 Walnut St., Windsor. Viewing will be from 9:00-10:00 am and Services at10:30 am. She will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Greeley next to her husband.
