Phil Jay Phillippe, 59, of Grapevine, Texas, passed away watching college football with his sons after battling serious medical issues on Saturday, November 25, 2023. He was born in Dallas, Texas on February 25, 1964 to Max and Bobbie Phillippe. After moving around in their earlier years, Phil and their family settled in the DFW area.
He graduated from Grapevine High School in 1982 and from the University of Texas Arlington in 1995. Phil was known for his outgoing personality, service as a Little League football coach, and dedicated father. His fun-loving nature will be missed by those that knew him.
Phil is survived by; his two sons, Austin Jay Phillippe (Megan Phillippe) and Ryan Scott Phillippe (Amelia Hafford); his brother, Mark Phillippe (Donna Phillippe) and Angel Phillippe and Jacob Phillippe; beloved sister, Lisa O'Brien (David O'Brien) and Justin Ford (Amy Harrison) and Ashley Young (Carl Young); and his precious granddaughter, Berkley Marie Phillippe "Carrot Top." He held a special place in his heart for Randi Parkinson, his soulmate, and Linda Phillippe, the mother of his sons. He is also survived by many family and friends.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, December 1, 2023, at 11:00 AM at J.E. Foust and Son Funeral Home.
