Pamela Ann Morgan of Grapevine, beloved wife of David Morgan and cherished mother of Paul Morgan, passed away on October 23, 2020 at the age of 67. She was born in Muskegon, Michigan on March 28, 1953 where she was welcomed by her parents, Paul and Olive Shamberger, and two older sisters.
Pam grew up on the sandy shores of Lake Michigan with her sisters, Sandy and Dianne, and lived there until her family was transferred to Jackson, MS when she was 14 years of age. It was here that she would meet her husband Dave at Callaway High School, go with him to the Junior-Senior prom on their first date, and marry him a year after graduation. That loving marriage thrived and survived the test of time, as they celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary in March.
Pam began a career as a dental assistant after graduation which continued when she and Dave moved to the Dallas area as newlyweds. They lived in Allen and Richardson before building a home and settling in Grapevine. Following her career as a dental assistant, Pam joined Robert Allen Fabrics, a Fortune 500 Company, where she worked for 20 years in fabric and design, eventually becoming an office manager. She would later have the opportunity to use her flair for fashion and decorating by representing Robert Allen at the Expo Center and managing her own consignment booth locally, called "Seasons By Pam."
Of all her accomplishments, Pam would tell you that her greatest contribution to this world was giving birth to her son, Paul, and raising him to be the amazing and caring young man that he is today. He was not only her pride and joy, but they shared a closeness and friendship that was very special.
Pam and Dave were avid travelers and he showed her the world. Paris, Amsterdam, and Ireland are among their recent vacations. They have also enjoyed a trip to Bermuda where her mother was born, as well as several vacation spots across America. Staying at a Bed and Breakfast in interesting cities and towns was one of their favorite ways to spend time together. Their final vacation was in August of this year, when Dave took her "home" to Michigan.
If Pam were able to speak to us today, she would want for us to know that all is well and that she is in heaven with Jesus. Pam was a Christian and He was her Savior, and his love was often seen in her life. For those who also believe, she will be waiting to greet you and to welcome you to heaven some day.
Pam is preceded in death by her parents of Springfield, Mo. and grandparents of Akron, Ohio and Bermuda. Surviving are her devoted husband and son, David and Paul, and sister Sandy Hankins ( Ron) of Tennessee and Dianne (Phil) Briley of Ohio. Also grieving the loss of their dear aunt are six nieces and three nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 on Sunday, November 8, 2020 and burial will follow at Grapevine Cemetery.
