Happy 45th Birthday, Mike!  
It feels like you left us yesterday, not 3 1/2 years ago.  People tell us “time heals” but it doesn’t.  Your family misses you every second of every day but we’re doing our best to carry on, one foot in front of the other.  We will honor you today as best we can and pray that you are peaceful and safe and surrounded by loved ones and even new friends. Mike you are forever missed but never, ever forgotten.

Mike, again thank you so much for the Hawaiian 🌺 rum you brought back for us. We miss you dearly and have been saving it in it’s bubble wrap. But last night I took it out and intend to make poptails (popsicle cocktails) with it in your memory. I hope your family is doing well. We shall see you on the other side sometime. You were always incredibly independent, so so smart, loyal, faithful, humble and like your Grandpa, you would give anyone less fortunate the shirt off your back.  My life is forever changed without you in it and I will miss you until my dying day.  
As I work in my garden, I listen for you in the rustle of leaves, in the song of birds and in the blowing wind.  I sometimes hear the distant sound of a sports car on the freeway and I imagine a bright yellow Camaro on Heaven’s Highway, shifting up and down with every turn.  I smile, just a little.  
Mike, I know you loved your family so we will carry on as best we can, but never the same.

     Although we didn't get to see each recently, I want you to know that I will always cherish the times we did have together.  One of my favorites was going to a Cardinal game, just the two of us, when you were about 10 years old.  Rest in peace and say hi to grandpa for me.  I know we will see each other again one day.

 I'm terrible at good byes. But this pains me. Mike, you were good people. Mer and I will miss you greatly.

While we had a tremendous many good moments, I fondly remember your duel with Gandalf eating the spiciest wings.

My firstborn nephew and the baby who made me an aunt....I'll always cherish the memories I have of you...from the minute you were born...to the first time I babysat you in your Winnie the Pooh nursery (I was SO excited to babysit my very own nephew!)...to being the ring bearer in our wedding...to all your silly faces you made each time we took your picture...watching you grow up... to our visits in Dallas when you were all grown...even introducing me to everyone when you worked at Martini Park, not to mention  taking care of me and making sure I had anything I needed while there including having fun with you!
My heart breaks now but most important is that you've found peace.
I love you with all my heart and will forever be proud to be your aunt.

One of the best parts of living in Dallas for 6 years was growing closer to family, especially my big cousin,  Mike . I enjoyed the many times we shared, whether it was my visits at the bar he worked at...always made sure I had the best cocktail in town and got home safely, meeting up between quarters at the Dallas Mavericks games, or just visiting at Uncle Tom and Aunt Sue's house. 

I will forever cherish these moments together, especially the numerous times he introduced me to his friends and co-workers, as his little cousin :) You left us too soon, but I know you will continue to watch down on your family and friends. Love you Big Cousin!!! 

Oh Mike, I don’t where to begin. We were only 2 years apart. Everyone says I wanted to do everthing for you & I would find stuff for you & say “here you Mikey!”  I never wanted to stop doing stuff for you...I always wanted you to be happy.  I even wore a Metallica shirt because you liked them. We stuck together through all of our moves across the country & became best friends. We laughed when weren’t supposed to....you came up with words that are so funny to us...I would give anything to hear you say them again. John, Johnson, Big Johnson, El hi & more. Our high school memories are the best. We will relive those days again together...at least the laughter. I was always in awe of your intelligence, your deep loyalty & your love for family. My heart aches for you but I pray that your mind & your body that you worked so hard on are at peace. I will always selfishly want you back but I will change my life to honor yours. I love you my sweet brother. Go get them birdies!

Mike was my big brother. Both left handed, both Gemini and have he same Chinese zodiac (being 12 years apart). When I was a kid he dared me at the thanksgiving table to say big Johnson... I whispered it and then said it loudly. I had no idea what it meant as I was too little to understand but it made everyone laugh. He was always good at that. I looked up to my brother more than he knew. He was so talented in art and was an amazing man inside and out. Love you brother. Always and forever.

God bless you and give you peace. For 10 plus years you've been a friend and I enjoyed our times together. Missed you leaving the Franchise, and now devastated and cant believe your gone. Godspeed brother.
