She was born to the late Charley and Vera Faye Dosser on Nov. 22, 1946 in Athens, TX. She was an accomplished hair dresser and dog trainer, the life of any party, and an incredible wife, mother, and friend. However, her true calling was being a grandmother. She always made the children feel as if she waited all day to see them and once they were home, her day was perfectly complete.
Jan will be fondly remembered for her endless hugs, her wicked sense of humor, her hilarious stories, her fried chicken, her cookie pudding, her stubbornness, and her beautiful spirit. To say she will be sorely missed would be a massive understatement. Our home may now be quiet, but we are blessed that our memories of her fill the silence.
Jan was preceded in death by her daughter, Jana Marlin; husband, Tommy Johnson, and husband, Bill Marlin. She is survived by her son, Brian Johnson and wife Kim; grandchildren Noah Fessler, Layla Johnson, Austin Johnson, Aston Johnson, and Luke Johnson; sister, Charlene Beaver; nephew, Richard Beaver; nephew, James Beaver and wife Dawn; great-niece Natalie Beaver; and great-nephews, Ryan and Reagan Beaver.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at the funeral home. A Celebration of Life will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 24, 2019 at J.E. Foust & Son Funeral Home, Grapevine, TX. Interment will follow at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, Colleyville, TX.
