Donald E. Carr

Donald Eugene Carr Sr. (“Bubba”) was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven on Saturday, May 4th, 2019 at the age of 81. Don was born in Greensburg, IN. on September 22, 1937. He moved to Texas while in the United States Air Force from 1953 – 1957. While in the Air Force, he married his bride of 61 years, Barbara. Don is survived not only by Barbara, but also their 3 children and their spouses, Don Jr. (Lisa Carr), Kevin (Marla Carr) and Lisa (Paul Pardo). 6 Grandchildren, Kacey Carr, Kody Carr, Devon Hall, T.J. Hall, Andrea Carr and Lauren Carr were his pride and joy as well as 4 Great Grandchildren, Sakora, Kalaya, Denver, and Adelina. Don had retired from American Airlines after 35 years. He was very proud to be a 32-degree Scottish Rite Mason for over 50 years. He was very active in his church and served as a deacon. Don was a racecar driver for over 40 years and was a passionate car guy to the very end. He was a dedicated marathon runner while in his 40’s. Don truly enjoyed life and loved his family and friends. He loved being the center of attention and had a very infectious laugh. There will be no funeral at Don’s request. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas, TX.
