Bobby Wright was born into a humble family on April 8, 1935, in unincorporated part of Dallas, also known as Sowers/Irving TX. He was the last of eight siblings born to Tom Wright Dorety and Bessie Cannon Rotton. His siblings included Roy (Buck) Franklin, Ralph (who owned the domino hall in Irving inherited during the depression from Bessie’s brother), a celebrity Edith (named in JFK /Warren Commission Report), a carpenter Raymond Floyd, a gentile lady Dorothy, a gregarious well loved used car salesman Tom Boyd, and a beautiful redhead named Lois. All preceded Bobby in death including his wife Shirley Ann Wright who passed twenty-eight years ago. His daughter Kim Wright Hernandez and his namesake Bobby Chris Wright survive him, two grand children, Justin Lauren Moffat Allred and Steven Moffat, and by his great pride triplet grandchildren: Annie, Brennan, and Carter, and their youngest sister Lily. He is also survived by his son-in-law Eliazer (Al) Hernandez.
Bobby’s second home and formative years after he married Shirley were spent working for three generation of Martins at Martin Equipment Company. For forty-three years he served alongside "old man Martin", Bob Martin, and Bobby Martin and later his pals Willard and Larry.
His family, friends, and neighbors will miss his kindness, smiles, laughter, and his pension for storytelling while sharing a cold beer with him.
A Celebration of Life will be from 1:00-4:00pm, Sunday, April 7, 2019 at the Ranch of Lonesome Dove, 2229 Lonesome Dove Rd., Southlake, TX 76092.
