Ron Keller, age 76, went into the arms of our Lord and Savior Monday, July 15, 2024 after a battle with heart and kidney issues. He was preceded in death by his mother, Vernetta Keller and father, Harley Keller. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Arlene Keller; children Darin (Jodi) Keller and Lance Keller (Pam Meyer); grandchildren Brayden, Noah, and Addisyn; siblings Marvin (Cindy) and Judy; brother-in-law and best friend, Lloyd (Melanie) Vermaat; sister- and brother-in-law Evelyn Oosterheert and Jerry (Wilma) Van Solkema.
Ron was born in California and moved to Michigan when he was a child. He enlisted in the Army and served in Germany during the Vietnam War. He grew up working for GM on the production line for 25 years. He spent lots of time on Lincoln Lake and Hess Lake. His passions were hunting, golfing, and antique cars. He loved to spend time with his kids and grandkids watching their sporting events. He was a huge Detroit Tigers' fan and hardly ever missed watching a game. Ron was a great husband to Arlene for 53 years! They enjoyed their winter home in Florida, taking small vacations, going out to dinner, and more. Ron had a great sense of humor and an infectious smile. He will truly be missed by family and friends!
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2024 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, Michigan. Burial will take place at Georgetown Cemetery. The family welcomes memories and messages at www.cookcaresgrandville.com in their guest book online.
