Robert Jack Mathews

MATHEWS - Robert Jack Mathews, age 90, of Grand Rapids, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday February 19, 2014. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years Lillian; and brothers, William E. and Charles J.

Robert is survived by sons, Craig R and wife Jackie Mathews, Thomas J. Sr and wife Linda Mathews; daughter Mary Louise Mathews; grandsons, Thomas J Jr. and wife Dawn Mathews, and Ryan M. Mathews; great grandsons Robert, Andrew, and Joseph Mathews; sister-in-law Ardean Mathews; two step-granddaughters, Dana Appel and Kelly Hodeman; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Robert was a partner in Mathew's Pharmacy and Gift Shop. He was also a life member of American Business Clubs "AMBUCS" and past member of "Golden K" Kiwanis International and J C's. Cremation has taken place with a private family burial at Grandville Cemetery.

A service celebrating Robert's life will be held 11 am Friday at the Cook Memorial Chapel, 4235 Prairie SW, Grandville, MI (East Building) with Rev. David Ness officiating. The family will meet with relatives and friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
